Dickies Sashiko Mended Jeans | One-of-a-Kind Reworked Denim

Worn, repaired and ready for another life.

A pair of classic Dickies jeans given a new lease of life with hand-stitched sashiko-inspired visible mending.

These jeans came to me well worn and heavily patched, with several areas of damage across the legs. Rather than hiding their history, I’ve worked with it — reinforcing the larger patches and holes with contrasting denim and rows of hand stitching, while smaller holes have been picked out with simple stitched details.

The white thread against the worn blue denim makes every repair part of the design, celebrating the marks, fading and imperfections that have developed through years of wear.

No two repaired pieces will ever be quite the same.
